Kawthar-Al-Horaish designer and creative director of KAF BY KAF, telling us story of local summer. The designer found her inspiration for the Spring/ Summer 2024 collection among the boxes of fruits & vegetables, specifically in “Al Rabwa” which is the most famous and oldest market in the city as it dates back more than 50 years. The markets are filled with fresh fruits and vegetables from various regions of the kingdom In this collection, she used ropes, threads and various materials in an aesthetic way to mimic those in the market, in an abstract modern region. She has employed handcrafted techniques that enhance the concept of suitability in this collection as well. Such as the crochet technique for making fashion and pieces handcrafted & embroidered with fruits and vegetables made in the same way.
